Tips for tough situations in divorce or seperation:
contributed by Kristen

1. NEVER sign anything without a lawyer seeing it first. Because this can be used against you.
2. NEVER verbally agree to anything. I mean anything. Get everything in writing. EVERYTHING.

3. DOCUMENT Start a diary of everything. When you/he calls kids. When you/he sees kids. What you

do and what is said. This is admissible in court and very handy.

4. Be prepared for anything. You would be amazed what they will accuse you of in court.

5. Always make an effort to see/talk to your child/ren.

6. Find moms like you. It does help.*

If you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship, or you know of a child that is being abused, please seek help immediately by calling 911.

If you have a resource to add here, please e-mail us and we will add it immediately.

Abuse is a very serious issue and no one should have to go through it. Especially alone.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the many women, men and children that must face this every day.
